Wheatgrass In Painted Pots DIY
Every spring I love growing pots of wheatgrass to give as gifts and just to have around the house for springtime. My sister Design Mom actually taught me this trick a long time ago. (read instructions on how to grow the grass here.) But it is still one of my favorite things to do in the Springtime. I paint a few pots with designs or quotes about springtime and take them to friends. It’s perfect for the time when it is almost-Spring-but-still-cold. And, since wheatgrass only needs a few days to grow – ours will be ready in time for Easter!
Watercolor Letter Easter Eggs DIY
I did a version of these last year that never made it to the blog so when I saw Easter on the calendar (it comes so early this year) I knew I wanted to share this project. These Watercolor Letter Easter Eggs aren’t only cute and easy to make, they also make a great placecard holder. Display them at your Easter Table or hide them around for friends to find and piece together a secret message.
Epic Playdate Weekend [Giveaway]
One thing we’ve come to appreciate is playing together as a family. Sometimes it’s easy to get wrapped up in our work, but Paul and I have found that being silly with our kids helps us de-stress and connect as a family. That’s why we’re so excited for our Epic Playdate Weekend in late April with a few of my blogger friends like Oh Joy, Dooce and Yes to Hoboken and their families. For two whole days, we’ll all get to share some epic fun together in Santa Barbara. Each blogger is responsible for hosting activities for the kids. I’ll be hosting a crafting class and I hear there’s also going to be an ice cream sundae bar, an epic paint fight, a hula-hopping workshop, a kids’ photography class, and more!
The best part is that one Oh Happy Day reader and their family will get to join us! (Yay!) To enter, you just need to pin an image from this board and then visit this page by March 23rd.
So, what are you waiting for? Come play with us! (ps: the photo below was taken by Heather Zweig -thanks Heather!)
