Crepe Paper Swirlers

by Kathleen Ballos

These DIY crepe paper swirlers are really simple to make, but they are so fun to play with! If you like taking pictures while waving sparklers around, these are a good indoor alternative. I made these with New Years Eve in mind, but I think they’d be fun for any party. You could even make some matching confetti throwers!

This one’s for everyone with December birthdays. Just because it’s the holiday season, it doesn’t mean you can wrap their Christmas & birthday presents into one! Instead, here’s a special DIY for Christmas crackers shaped like birthday candles. Make a bunch as a fun surprise for the birthday girl or boy and fill them up with mini treats, toys and candy.

Paper Suitcase Garland

by Kathleen Ballos

With the holiday season approaching, I’ve noticed a lot of friends and family planning visits back to wherever they call home. My youngest sister is backpacking in Europe right now, but she’ll be coming home to Canada in a couples weeks. I thought this DIY suitcase garland would be a fun way to welcome her of course it would work for a going away party too! I’ve added a few Canadian accents to my party, but you could easily customize your decor to match your city or country. You could even make a few extra suitcases and use them as party favors!

DIY Paper Boat Decorations

by Kathleen Ballos

Anchors aweigh! Recently I’ve been pretty obsessed with all things nautical, so these DIY paper boats were a lot of fun to dream up. Make them for a pirate or nautical themed party and keep them around as home decor afterwards. Or, wouldn’t they be great as Mayflower decorations for Thanksgiving? You probably already have all the supplies you need.
