Purse Makeover Series: Two

In Part 2 of our purse makeover series, I’ve taken a cue from our favorite clutch designer- Clare V. I love her idea of borrowing typography from French new wave films- so I created the phrase ‘Bien Sur’ (of course) in the style of director Jean-Luc Godard’s signature lettering (Sidenote: Everyone in the studio is fighting to take this one home!). Read on to find out how to make it…

Just a bit of colorful paint transforms a plain, $13 metallic clutch from ASOS into a statement piece. It can instantly add an element of surprise to a more minimal or basic outfit.

Materials: Acrylic paint, thin paintbrush, pencil, clutch.

Step 1: Type a word or a phrase in your favorite font. Print it out and cut out the letters.

Step 2: Put the paper on the clutch and trace the letters onto the bag lightly in pencil.

Step 3: Fill the letters with acrylic paint, and let it dry.
