Kids will go batty for these Halloween treats. Fill with candy, fake spiders, a small stack of cookies – or whatever spooky smalls you can find. Coincidentally, October is Bat Appreciation Month. Yay for bats!
Materials needed: black crêpe paper, black baker’s twine, scissors, craft glue, treats to fill bat.
Step 1: Cut a 12” x 6” (approximately) rectangle out of crepe paper. Wrap the goodies in the center, close the long edge with some tape, and secure each side with twine.
Step 2: Smooth the crepe paper wings flat, and cut three scallops into the lower edge of the wings, following the picture below.
Step 3: Dab a tiny bit of glue on the inside of the lower edges you just cut, to keep the layers of crepe together.
