Nothing screams summer like a yummy piece of delicious watermelon. These paper pouches resemble a juicy slice, perfect for a summer birthday party or family get-together. Print, fold, tape and fill with any and all sorts of treats, and you’re good to go!
Materials needed: red and pink copy weight paper, watermelon seed template, white washi tape, double stick tape, green masking tape.
Step 1: Download and print out the watermelon seed template.
Step 2: Turn the paper over, and fold in the side with the letters at 3 inches from the edge. Don’t make a hard crease, just a gentle bend.
Step 3: Fold in the other side at 2 ¾” inches. When both sides are folded in, the right side should overlap the letters on the left side. Re-open the sides.
Step 4: Place a 5” line of double stick tape on the middle bottom section of the paper.
Step 5: Place a 7” line of double stick tape on the right side edge of the paper.
Step 6: Fold in the left side and press down on the double stick tape.
Step 7: Place white washi tape along the closed edge, about ½ inch up from the edge of the paper.
Step 8: Place the green tape over the white tape, leaving a thin line of white showing.
Step 9: Fill the pouch with treats, then carefully put double stick tape along the inside of the opening. Holding the closed edge in one hand, carefully close the opposite sides of the pouch (as opposed to making a flat sealed envelope shape) and seal closed.

These are super cute. The kids would just love them! I was thinking I could do something similar, but instead use some pink and green material and sew them, and maybe put a little zipper or button on them to hold the goodies in!
