Sunshine Spaces Workshop & Book Signing

I’m so excited to announce two awesome events I’m hosting with one of my favorite Australian artists and creatives: Beci Orpin. She is a serious genius. I’ve been buying her books for years and she is currently on a book tour this month to celebrate her latest book Sunshine Spaces! To celebrate we are hosting a Master Collage Workshop in San Francisco taught by Beci. You can sign up here! In the afternoon we will host a second event: A book signing! You’ll be able to buy Beci’s book and have her sign it. There will be a Q+A by Beci as well.

Part 1: Master Collage Workshop with “Sunshine Spaces” Author, Beci Orpin

Learn the ins and outs of collage medium with designer / artist Beci Orpin (Melbourne, Australia). Beci will guide you through her methods and processes of making art with paper collage – her favourite medium. You will experiment in mark-making and creating pattern using mediums such as water-colour, gouache, oil pastels and vinyl, as well as learn about various papers and glues, composition and colour. You will also have the opportunity to make both ‘Paper Crystals’ and ‘Table Collages’, both projects from beck’s new book ‘Sunshine Spaces’. Included in the workshop is a take-home copy of Beci’s Paper Collage handbook. There will also be copies of Beci’s new book ‘Sunshine Spaces’ for sale.

Saturday, May 20 | 10am-12pm

Part 2: Book Signing Event

Please join us for a book party on Saturday, May 20! Come meet Beci Orpin in our studio (2169 Mission Street, 2nd Floor) from 2-3pm. There will be a brief presentation, a Q+A with the author, and a book signing plus some other fun surprises! We hope you can make it.
