Sometimes a little sweetness goes a long way. Just a tiny bit of candy will fit in these fun little party hats. A few Red Hots – or a sprinkling of pink Nerds – will fit just fine. Fill up a bowl of hats and share the love. Or, bundle a few in a cellophane bag and top with a pretty red bow to seal the deal.
Materials needed: pink and red Valentine’s cupcake liners, pink, red and white mini pom poms, craft glue, tissue or crepe paper, small valentine’s candies (nerds or red hots work well), scissors and pinking shears.
Step 1: Fold a cupcake liner in half, then gently twist the liner into a hat shape and secure it (up the inside edge) with craft glue. Wipe off any excess glue. Let dry.
Step 2: With a tiny bit of craft glue, attach a mini pom pom to the tip of the hat.
Step 3: Fill the hat with a few tiny candies.
Step 4: Cut out a 1” x 1” inch piece of crepe or tissue paper.
Step 5: Carefully apply glue to the bottom outer edge of the hat (outer edge so the glue does not come in contact with the candies). Place the piece of tissue or crepe paper on it, rub it with your hand and let set for a few seconds, then flip over, and let fully dry. (I left mine for an hour or so).
Step 6: With pinking shears, cut around the edges of the hat along the bottom of the hat.

That’s cute Chiara ! It reminds me a bit the fire trees toppers you made for Xmas last year. My kids will love to make those hats.
Wishing you a lovely week !
