HowAboutWe: Ferry Building Tasting Tour

Paul and I finally had the chance to go on our third date with HowAboutWe for Couples this month (see our first and second dates here & here.) I really wanted to try the Edible Excursions Tour at the Ferry Building here in San Francisco. I know the Ferry Building really well (I used to work on the top floor!) but it’s been a while and a bunch of new places have opened up in the last few years. It was so great and we had such a good time!  If you haven’t heard about them yet, HowAboutWe started as a dating site but now they also plan awesome dates for couples! I love that their dates are so out-of-the-box – and help us get out of our dating rut of going to the same restaurants. It has seriously been a game changer. I would also love to sign up for this ceramics class or this trapeze class! They just launched in Los Angeles too and they’re adding new cities all the time. If they’re not in your city yet, it’s free to sign up and they’ll contact you once they come to your are.  Click here to get $50 off your first date — perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day, really! (expires 4/30/14)

This is a really good idea for couples, takes the trouble out of one of you getting a date together for the other. San Francisco looks like such an amazing place to live. I’m rather envious!

The Ferry Building in San Francisco is my favorite place to eat! Oysters. Check. Artisan Cheese with wine. Check. Gelato. Check. So much goodies in one place!

That would be fun to do in the Ferry Building.

My favorite coffee is there- Blue Bottle. I think I went at least 10 times over a long weekend in San Francisco.

Wish we had this service in Boston. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and for Christmas his gift to me was 26 Date Nights. We normally end up just trying out a new restaurant, but I would love to do some other cool things especially because there is so much to do in Boston! I would love to take a ceramics glass, but no way to the Trapeze Class, I get way too dizzy being upside down!

HowAboutWe is growing really fast, so I’m sure they’ll be in Boston soon! But, what a fun Christmas gift – I love the idea of giving dates as gifts!

Love the Ferry building. Took a chocolate tour in SF several years ago and two stops were in that building. Excellent tour!

What a fantastic date! My husband and I are uber jealous! We went to San Fran last September and its one of our best memories and the Ferry building was one of our favorite stops. Who could resist Miette?! Glad you can be there to enjoy all the loveliness San Fran offers since others like us are so far away.

Love seeing happy girl co pictured here! I worked for them for 2 years at the ferry building – such a good little family company. I also love this idea HowAboutWe. seems like it makes it easy for the busy couple looking for a night out!

HowAboutWe is such an interesting take on the dating site concept. I love that it’s so outside the box compared to other sites.

I live in Walnut Creek and usually make it through to the City once a week. I can’t believe I’ve never been inside the Ferry Building. Even though one of my favorite things to do is eat the seafood at Sinbads right next door.

Next time I’m through We’ll be taking the edible excursion tour for sure.
