We rang in the New Year with some friends who have an apartment overlooking the bay with a great view of fireworks. It was fun, Paul is a great kisser. Then this morning Emily threw a beautiful New Years Day brunch at her house.
So here are some of my resolutions for 2008. I really want to take advantage of San Francisco this year, so some of the goals are related to the city.
Take Sailing lessons
Run a marathon
Take a cake decorating course
Make my bed everyday
Take a bookbinding course at Center for the Book
Take tennis lessons {play with Paul}
Plan outfits once a month {look more polished}
Make a list of every cool store in San Francisco and visit all of them
Eat at a new restaurant every week {Make a list}
Go to Brazil
Get my Vandercook press up and running
Have a dinner party at least once a month

Oh! I’m with you on the bed-making thing. I started it a little over one month ago, and it really starts the day off right!

Enjoying SF more is a big one on my list too. It’s such a gorgeous city, I really don’t take advantage of it enough.

Wow. High aspirations after just having a baby. After the birth of my first child, my goals were to get out of bed, feed baby, eat, bathe, and go back to bed. I admire you for making the most out of life….and SF.

Are you serious? And you have a newborn? I’ve never commented on your blog before, but I’m so astonished at your ambition that I’ve been brought out of hiding!!! I felt good about a shower once a week!

Yes to dinner parties every month. I love it. And outfit planning — I always feel more pulled together when I’ve THOUGHT about looking pulled together (I’m sure everyone else thinks you looked pulled together alwasy).

I feel good if I’ve “outfit planned” the night before. Of course it’s easy when nearly everything is black, grey or white. Good luck in 2008!

I don’t know you (I love your beautiful ideas!) but I think that after reading your blog for a while now and seeing the beautiful things you accomplish, my bets are that you’ll find a way to get your list done for the year! Newborn and all! Good luck!

You have the most beautiful blog and congrats on your son. A very ambitious list for a new mom, but hey, it can be done. Babies are very “portable” those first few months–you can take them anywhere. I wish I’d been more adventurous when I had just one kid because I it was pretty manageable, as it turns out. Good luck.

love the idea of trying a new restaurant every week – I may have to integrate that goal into my list!

When you find all the great shops in SF will you email me? =) We love SF but only get over there 3 or 4 times out of the year. Sad, since my folks are so close. We know the hot spots like Union Square and the San Francisco Center but that’s about it. Would love any tips on great eateries also.
