It was a beautiful day here in San Francisco and we were grateful for it. It’s been colder than is normal lately and I know it’s still cold elsewhere but in today’s warmth my mind turned to lawn chairs and all they stand for. Thank you aluminum. Thank you vinyl. Thank you plastic. Thank you sun damaged pigments. Thank you rust. Thank you rivets. Thank you pattern pressed into summer thighs.
I’d like to thank all the folks, on eBay and Flicker, who posted their lawn chair photos. It meant a lot to me. With out you this blog entry would have been dedicated to kitchen chairs… And I only have four of those.

We should make like all those guys on Fillmore Street and start hanging out in lawn chairs on the sidewalk.

Still no baby yet. School starts again on Tuesday. So we hope he comes before then. We still like the names Constance, Jerbow, Anklin. So maybe by the time you come back we’ll have a little Anklin Royster Elliot in our arms. Have fun you guys.
