Silk Drapes

I want some silk drapes for our apartment. But not just any silk drape, I want the pleated kind that uses twice as much fabric and I want them to be super long and drapey and beautiful. Even though drapes like this are pretty expensive, I feel like its sort of an investment. If you get a classic color it seems like they don’t go out of style. Since I am a bargain hunter I am waiting for the perfect silk drape to fall out of the sky. Anyone know how to get silk drapes like this for a deal?

what about buying the fabric and getting them made (or making them yourself). the sewing would be pretty simple and i imagine you can get the fabric more cheaply than in something premade. like for example here:

You should go to http://www.halfpricedrapes.com and check out their signature silk drape collection. They don’t show the invert pleats you want on the site (french pleat and pole top are what they show) but they do make the invert pleat drapes and their taffeta drapes are TO DIE FOR and only $129 a panel. Flannel interfaced and cotton lined.

I bought some gorgeous silk drapes from Drea’ Custom Designs. They were lined, interlined, and were only $149. They had a 25% sale when I got them. I loved them so much, I bought 4 more panels for my great room. The swatches was free also.
