Happy Friday! This week was a busy one and I’m so looking forward to the weekend! Here is a little picture of the front of our new offices. One of my favorite things about the new space is we have our own storefront. I would love to turn it into an actual store someday but that isn’t happening in the near future. In the mean time I was feeling bad that the window looked so empty for the neighborhood so we decided to fill it with balloons until we can figure out something else. It has been so funny to see every kid that walks by squeal in delight and then pound the window. In fact the entire front of the window is covered at child’s height with grubby fingerprints. I love it and it makes me so happy to come to work in the morning. I hope you have a happy weekend!
If you follow me on Instagram then you know we finally got the photobooth we bought to work. (Read the story here.) Next week I’m going to work on restoring them and making them look good. It has been ridiculously fun to have one around! Paul calls it photobooth gluttony, I wonder if we will ever get sick of them? I want to have a photobooth event soon and invite the internet over to the studio to have a try. I hope you have a happy weekend!
It’s been a little quieter than usual around here because I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get my site running smoother. I really enjoy crafting and making projects but I feel like I’m not very good at the business side of things like bookkeeping and managing people. The last 6 months I’ve been trying hard to set up a solid infrastructure for my little business. It is slow going sometimes and there is a lot of trial and error but I think we’re getting there. I hope everyone has a happy weekend. We are going to clean the house, celebrate Roman’s birthday and have some friends over for dinner. (I’ve been cooking a lot lately, I have a goal to cook every recipe in this cookbook. It’s perfect for me, simple and seasonal.
I have some great posts to share but my laptop died this week so I am waiting for my computer to be revived. I even prepared a post about my mini San Francisco Tour, watch for it next week. I hope you have some fun weekend plans. I’m going to be prepping for our Anthropologie Craft night and may try to go apple picking (is it too late in the season?) If I was in New York City I would definitely be going to this bake sale on Sunday to benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims. Happy Weekend!

You can start to feel the air turn crisp these days, it feels like Fall. I am flying home for my grandma’s funeral this weekend. She was a really good person and so kind to everyone around her. She used to give me graham crackers and milk as a snack when I would go to her house after school. I will miss her. I’m glad to be around my family for a few days and remember her. I hope you all have a good weekend.
ps: We’ve been moving servers and are still working out the bugs so sorry for the technical difficulties the last few days. If you tried to email me in the last two days, I never received your email. Please resend them!
