Happy Weekend

Happy weekend from Barcelona! We got in yesterday and I love it here. It is warmer than Paris and it feels so good to be out and about. We went to Boqueria Market yesterday which is an incredible food market with every kind of juice you can imagine for only 1 euro each. They are so good, we tried five different kinds! I hope you have a great weekend. (ps: there are about 30 more spots left for the Commission Project.)

I also write for Babble, here are my posts this week.

This new line from Ikea is soooo good.
Rad idea for a baby gift.
These are the most amazing quilts.
I want these sheets.
Beautiful leather goods.

We LOVED out commission! My mother actually just brought it over this week! Thank you, Paul!! Have a wonderful time — I am wondering if there’s any carnival celebrating in Spain? …
    Enjoy!

I can’t wait for our trip to Spain this summer/fall. Can’t wait to hear about your time there. Did you fly or did you take the train. I’m not sure if train travel with a 1.5 year old is a good plan or crazy thinking?!

We made your little clay hearts from last year.
They were a big hit in the kindergarten class.
Many thanks for all the inspiration!

I sent an email with a few recommendations for BCN but forgot to metnion how fabulous a lot of the local artisans are. Wander through the Born and pick up some great jewelry or clothing from local artists. I get compliments on the pieces I pick up in little shops around there all the time. Saturday mornings there are some artisans set up in C/ Allada Vermell that have cute kids stuff, nearby C/ Rec has good shopping and the Convent de St Agusti is great for a snack or meal with kids.

i have the manhattan quilt from haptic labs and it’s just as beautiful in person! i met emily, the owner and maker, at the nyigf last summer and bought it directly from her, she is so sweet. it came with a personal note wrapped in a big bow! definitely a small business worth supporting 🙂
