Drink Stirrers: 3 Ways

Oh Happy Day turned 10 years old so we held a big party. We spent a lot of time planning lots of pretty details. And this week we are going to share all of them. I wanted the party to feel super festive so we made lots of drink stirrers and swizzle sticks. My favorite were these tiny balloons! We also made some ribbon flags and fringey sticks. They are really simple but it was such a festive party details to have all these fun drink toppers decorating the bar.

MINI FRINGE SWIZZLE STICK

Materials needed: Crepe paper (in baby pink, peach, yellow, mint, and teal), scissors, skewers, Aleene’s Tacky Glue

Step 1: Cut fringe from crepe paper with a good pair of scissors. Our fringe was roughly 1″ tall and 3mm wide.
Step 2: Cut fringe into 2” long pieces.
Step 3: Wrap two pieces of fringe around the flat end of the skewer. The fringe should extend past the end of the skewer so the end is hidden from view. Add a dab of Aleene’s to secure the fringe.
Step 4: Use your fingers to separate and fluff the fringe.

Those tiny balloon stirrers are the absolute cutest! I never would have thought of combining balloons and skewers, a seemingly odd pair that really works
