Happy Mail: Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is quickly becoming my favorite fall holiday: just as much coziness and amazing food as Christmas, but less stress and fuss. This month, I’m celebrating overeating with Carolyn Figel, an artist who’s also a huge snail mail fan (and an animated gif genius).
Here’s my envelope to Carolyn, inspired by my love for green bean casserole (french fried onions!!!!) and pumpkin pie.

And here’s Carolyn’s extremely clever envelope to me:

Carolyn writes: “Thanksgiving for me will always mean one thing: pie. I have a large family filled with aunts, grandparents, uncles, cousins, siblings, dogs… you name it. No matter how many pies my Grandma and I made to bring with us to dinner, serving dessert always seemed like the Hunger Games. You had to move quickly to get a slice, because before you knew it all that was left was some crumbs on a plate!”
