Watermelon Place Cards DIY

Did you know watermelons are 91% water? You will only need a cup of water to dip your paintbrush in for these watermelon place cards. Perfect for National Watermelon Day – August 3rd! These could also make a festive garland – instead of putting a name on the cards, just fold them over some string and use tape or glue to secure. Happy Watermelon Day! (PS – Watermelon favors!)

Materials: round white cards, watercolors, alphabet stamps and stamp pad (or a marker will do).

Step 1: Fold white cards in half.
Step 2: Paint outer edge green.
Step 3:  Paint inner circle red/pink. Let dry.
Step 4: Paint seeds on, leaving a little room for the name.
Step 5: Stamp or write guests name on red part of watermelon.

What a great idea, I’ll be making these with my little miss this weekend. They are a great way to include her in making a menu for dinner. We love crafting together and surprising daddy with a mini menu for his dinner. Love Love Love these.
