Today we’re sharing part two of our Millennial Party (you can find part one here)! Everyone loves a good photobooth — and with the logo-heavy athleisure trend in full swing, we put together an Asics parody balloon wall. Go ahead and take a selfie — it’s ironic, so it’s ok. Full instruction below!
This installation is super easy! All it takes is a balloon pump, 160Q long balloons, and some double-sided tape. Blow up a bunch of pink and iridescent balloons to fill out the floor. This silver hashtag is the perfect prop!
Materials Needed: Projector, pencil, 160Q balloons (in caribbean blue), mini balloon hand pump, double-faced Shurtape, scissors
Step 1: Find the Asics logo online and project onto the wall. Trace “asic” lightly with pencil. Then, pencil in a large “b” using the graphic logo as your inspiration.
Step 2: Inflate a bunch of 160Q balloons. Release a bit of air from each balloon before knotting so that the balloon has less tension, then trim off the balloon tails. To make balloons to size, inflate a balloon to the length you need, knot both ends, and trim off the leftovers.
Step 3: Fill in the design with pieces of double-faced Shurtape, then remove the paper backing. Attach balloons and you’re all set!
