Styling Easter Baskets – 3 Ways

Looking for special Easter basket ideas? I’ve done an extensive hunt and found the CUTEST fillers- from the classic to the unexpected – presented in 3 baskets, each with a unique ‘theme’. Take a look…

Styling Easter Baskets - 3 Ways | Oh Happy Day!

1. Spring Easter Basket

I’ve used an abundance of yellows and greens and included some bright faux flowers in this spring-inspired basket. My favorite piece is actually the GORGEOUS vintage ribbon that I found at Castle in the Air– it definitely steals the show! I also adore these cute baby chick erasers. I couldn’t go past licorice pastels as an alternative to chocolate eggs. Also, if you want to up the Easter chocolate ante, try this Dick Taylor Chocolate bunny.

Decorate the basket with wide, lush satin ribbon.

2. Baby Easter Basket

This basket is basically all about THE CUTEST BUNNY EVER that I found on a recent trip to ABC Carpet & Home. When I think of gifts for babies I always tend to opt for soft and natural colors so I’ve used a shallow birch basket and included these delicate quail eggs from World Market. A mini pack of fried egg candy makes a cute alternative to chocolate eggs.

Decorate the basket with a simple mini bunting.

3. Colorful Easter Basket

Utilizing bright primary colors, I’ve kept this basket playful and child-like. Included is Dick Bruna’s classic book “Miffy”-the iconic rabbit character was perfect to be front and center for this ensemble. The usual suspects- classic chenille baby chicks – are mixed in with the unexpected twist of white rabbit asian candy, an origami bunny and a fabric fried egg toy! It’s all about the element of surprise!

Decorate the basket with colored ribbon and vintage balloon cake toppers

I love the yellow and green! It just screams spring! It’s my nephew’s second Easter and I’m really excited to see him tear open his basket …especially since last Easter he was only 2 months old!
