This DIY is a triple threat of crafting – easy, cheap, and adorable. Transform plain craft paper boxes into a sweet treat that can be filled with more sweet treats! Check out the DIY below!
Materials needed: Round paper mache boxes, white, pinks and red shades of cardstock, craft glue, scissors, pencil, roll of clear cellophane, tape, twine, treats to fill boxes.
Step 1: Trace the lid of the round container box onto white card stock, and cut it out.
Step 2: Cut out a circle same size in red, then pink (or whatever colors you are using).
Step 3: Cut the colored circles into pie slice by cutting in half, half again, then half again – I’m sure there is a more precise, mathematical way to cut slices, but I just eyed it).
Step 4: Glue the white circle to the lid of the box
Step 5: Arrange the pie-sized shapes around the white circle, alternating between colors, and leaving equal-sized white spaces showing.
Step 6: Glue the pie pieces down.
Step 7: Cut out a clear piece of cellophane that will wrap around and extend three or 4 inches on each side of the box.
Step 8: Fill the box with treats. Tape the cellophane to the backside of the box.
Step 9: Tie each side of the cellophane closed with some twine. Gently fluff out the cellophane edges.

So cute! They look edible 🙂 They’d look sweet in pastel colors for Easter, too.
