Fun fact to think about – I read somewhere that the United States is the only country that has a known birthdate! Celebrate the 4th with some rockets blasting off your cake in all directions! These paper rockets are fast and easy to make once you have your supplies assembled. Hooray!
Materials needed: red white and blue colored cupcake liners, hot glue gun, scissors, red white and blue cardstock, silver pipe cleaners, bamboo skewers.
Step 1: Take a cupcake liner, and fold it in half. Make a cone shape with it, and using hot glue, attach the edges together.
Step 2: Take a 4 x 6 rectangle of paper and roll it into a tube shape. Hot glue the tube closed.
Step 3: Apply hot glue to the top of the paper tube, and gently press the cupcake liner cone onto it.
Step 4: Take 3 pieces of silver pipe cleaners, fold them in half, and curl them around your finger. Attach to the inside bottom of the tube with hot glue.
Step 5: Apply a dollop of hot glue to a bamboo skewer and insert it in between the pipe cleaners, pressing it to the paper cone until secure.
