Easter Hat Favors DIY

Here is a cute favor that can be used for Easter, a Mother’s Day Brunch, a Garden Party or a little girl’s birthday party. You can present the favors on a tray, or hang them as a garland for guests to take one on their way out. Print or write out a sign that says, “Hats off to you! Thank you for coming!”

Materials needed: cupcake liners, cardstock, scissors, pencil, hot glue gun, ribbons and trim, miniature flowers. For the garland: miniature clothespins, length of ribbon.

Step 1: Flatten one cupcake liner. Roughly trace the outline of it on cardstock.
Step 2: Cut out the cardstock circle, slightly smaller than the liner.
Step 3: Glue cardstock to flattened liner.
Step 4: Take two cupcake liners, fill with candies. (I used two to make it stronger. One liner is easily crushed.)
Step 5: Put hot glue around the outer edge of the liner.
Step 6: Place the flattened liner face down on top of the liners with candy. Hold until glue sets.
Step 7: Flip hat upside down.
Step 8: Decorate with ribbon, flowers, feathers, etc. Use hot glue to secure trimmings to hat.
Step 9: For a garland, attach “hats” to ribbon with mini-clothespins and hang.

Great activities for the kids to do. I’ll probably try to do this with my kids over this Easter Sunday. Great pictures by the way.
