These adorable cupcake toppers are perfect for a carnival or circus themed birthday party. Or, by using different colored cupcake wrappers, they can be customized to go with a sweet baby shower. Guaranteed to make your guests smile.
Materials needed: 1” unfinished wooden beads, black pen, pencil with eraser, pink stamp pad, mini cupcake liners, mini pom poms, cardstock scraps, 1” scalloped cardstock, small hole punch, glue gun, 4 ½” sucker sticks.
Step 1: Apply a small dab of hot glue to the inside of a wooden bead. Insert sucker stick and hold until the glue sets.
Step 2: With a fine black pen, draw two dots for eyes and a half circle for a smile.
Step 3: Using the eraser side of a pencil, stamp two rosy cheeks with pink ink.
Step 4: Punch out three different 1” circles with the scalloped punch. As an alternative, you can cut out circles with scissors or pinking shears.
Step 5: Punch the center of the dots with a smaller size hole punch (this will fit exactly on the sucker sticks).
Step 6: Slide three dots on to the bottom of the stick, slide up to create the clown’s collar.
Step 7: Fold a mini cupcake liner in half, then gently twist the liner into a hat shape and secure it with hot glue.
Step 8: With a tiny bit of hot glue, attach a mini pom pom to the tip of the hat.
Step 9: Apply hot glue to the inside rim of the cupcake hat, place on top of wooden bead.
Step 10: Insert into cupcakes and enjoy.

How incredibly cute! Its a shame that my kids aren’t fans of clowns!
