How do you make a Halloween treat even better? By disguising it as a bat. It’s like a costume for candy! I used candy I put in cellophane bags, but save yourself some time and use some pre-packaged, bite-size treats. (PS – More Halloween ideas here!)
Materials needed: Bat Template, Black Paper, Scissors, Lightweight Cardboard (cereal box will work), Pencil, Bone Folder, Ruler, White Pen
Step 1: Print out this Bat Candy Favor Template.
Step 2: Cut out template, trace onto cardboard and then cut out the cardboard bat.
Step 3: Trace the cardboard bat onto black paper. Repeat as needed.
Step 4: Cut out bats.
Step 5: Fold bat in half, and cut where the dotted lines on the template are, one line straight and the other curved. (You may need to adjust your cuts later depending on the size of your candy).
Step 6: Score and gently fold where dotted lines are (from the top point of the wings to the bottom points).
Step 7: Use white pen or paint to make eyes and pointy teeth.
Step 8: Pop out ‘belly’ of bat.
Step 9: Insert bags of candy into ‘belly.’
Happy Halloween!
