Sticks of dynamite can light up any 4th of July party – or make a bright backdrop for a photobooth. My boys rarely comment on the crafts I make, but this one got a lot of love. I think they thought it had something to do with Angry Birds. Boom! (PS – More 4th of July Ideas!)
Materials: Red Paper, scissors or paper cutter, black cord, yellow crepe paper, black tape, scotch tape, small rubber band, 6-inch upholstery needle, string
Step 1: Cut out three 4 x 4 ½ rectangles.
Step 2: Roll and tape with clear tape. Repeat three times.
Step 3: Gather the three tubes and hold them together with the small rubber band.
Step 4: Cut 3 inches of black cord.
Step 5: Fringe 1 inch of yellow crepe paper
Step 6: Glue to end of cord.
Step 7: Insert cord with “flame” into the center of the three rolls.
Step 8: Tape top and bottom of rolls with black washi tape. Repeat Step 1-8 eleven more times.
Step 9: Using the upholstery needle, thread string through the dynamite bundles.
Hang and enjoy!
