I know there are several pretty versions of this out there, but this take on Cupid’s arrow as a cupcake topper has something special – the tip of the arrow is actually an edible candy heart. Which means, more sweets for your sweethearts!
Materials needed: wooden skewers, scissors, red & pink tissue paper, toothpicks, candy jelly hearts
Step 1: Cut skewers in thirds.
Step 2: Cut tissue paper into pointed oval shapes, about 2” x 1”. You can layer several pieces for this step. Make the bottom edge of the oval flat.
Step 3: Fold the tissue paper oval in half, and cut fringe into the outer edges.
Step 4. Dab glue on two or three pieces of “feather,” at the base, and gently attach to the skewer, twisting and smoothing the tissue paper to the stick.
Step 5: Insert the “feather” into the top of the heart.
Step 6: Insert a toothpick on the middle-right-lower-side of the candy heart.
Step 7: Enjoy!

Those arrows look like they’re defying gravity. I just know if I made these, the arrows would fall over. But they’re really cool, I do have to admit!
