Happy Weekend

We are having a little reprieve in the grey skies this weekend. It’s still chilly but at least the sun has come out. I’ve been buying the family cold weather gear this week. One thing about living in temperate San Francisco for so long is you forget how to dress for other weather. It sound silly but I have no idea how to dress for hot or cold climates. It’s like I can’t imagine any other weather than one where you need a light cardigan or light jacket. Ha! I hope you have a beautiful weekend wherever you are.

Photo from Paul Ferney’s instagram (which you should be following because he takes the prettiest pictures ever.)

I also write for Babble.com. Here are my posts from this week.

10 Party dresses under $40! (yea Target!)
The coolest kid rooms.
These wall paintings are amazing. Dying over the moons.
Did you know I have a thing for twin beds? Something about the symmetry.

The best thing about spring and fall is the need for layers. Cardigans, cute scarves and the like. Have a lovely weekend, Jordan!

I’m struggling with this exact shift in mindset as we get ready to head to Paris next week.

What a gorgeous photo. Is it weird that I feel homesick for Paris? It’s my favorite city in the whole world. That photo makes me feel a twinge of homesickness… beautiful.

Thanks for the links- going to check them out.

  11. Haha I TOTALLY know what you mean. Except it’s usually hot here so dressing for cold weather is a bit tougher for me. This instagram pic is amazing BTW.

This post CRACKED me up because after living in Tucson for three years, I went to San Francisco for the first time last spring and FROZE in my light jacket! It’s all relative, right?

Ah, Paris … It’s 100 degrees today in Phoenix so I will not be wearing a sweater. Happy weekend!

Love the clouds and filtered sunlight in that photo. And I get you about dressing for seasons. After we moved away from SoCal, we realized we need to shop for foreign things like down coats and snow pants.

Looks like the view from the Galleries Lafayette {who are having their 3J sale right now}. Am I right? Beautiful. H&M [easy} has some great scarf/mitten combos. I’m seeing a loooot of oversize chunky scarves everywhere I turn in Paris these days.

That’s funny…I just moved to SF a few months ago and I can’t figure out how to dress for this city! It’s always frosty for me even in wool coats. Except for mid- October..it’s 80 degrees out. Strange weather in SF I tell you.

This is so true! I was dressing for a picnic in Golden Gate Park last weekend – a beautiful 80 degree Fall day – and I ended up in the most random assortment of clothing because I forgot how to get dressed.

SF can really mess with your head. And your closet. Cardigans – 10. T-shirts – zero.

    Enjoy the weekend!

Happy Weekend to you too! I totally read you on the moderate weather thing – Here in CA, it’s always so nice out, but when I head to the mountains I’m shocked at how unprepared my closet is. Better stock up on some cute snugglies before then 🙂
