I had all these DIY posts planned for this week and I haven’t had time to post them. (Watch for them next week, including my favorite on how to make an easy picture frame.) My brother and sister in law are here visiting so I’ve been running all over Paris. The picture below is from the bakery Gerard Mulot (thanks Lindsey for the intro). I’ve been on a health kick the last month to once and for all lose the baby weight (I’ve lost eight pounds already!) But it is such a shame to be on a diet when you are living in Paris. Ugh! Just a few more pounds to go until I can go back to my eclairs and gelato (in moderation of course.) Ha! Happy Weekend.
I also write for Babble.com. Here are my posts from this week.
Prettiest Belt ever (from JCrew!)
The industrial looking kids furniture from Restoration Hardware is amazing.
I love this baby blanket.

@ Kersey Nothing easy unfortunately.
-No sweets
-Run 4-6 miles every other day
-Eat healthy foods in small portions (I love 101cookbooks.com for recipes)
-Try to be a “little bit hungry*” when you go to sleep.
*Not “starvation” or “low energy” hungry just enough to tell my body I’m on a diet.

Congrats! Love how honest your advice to Kersey is. I’m trying to lose weight for my wedding next year and the “no sweets” part is definitely the hardest! Thanks for the extra motivation 🙂

Oooh so hard in Paris! Great job. That should count as 16lbs with all the amazing food there! Didn’t you say on Twitter that you had a life changing haircut? I’m so curious to see it. I’m dreaming of a pixie cut a la Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina… and Roman Holiday… =)

Just curious where you run in Paris ? When I was a student in Europe (it’s been a while) it seemed like the only folks out for runs were Americans — just wondering if that has changed. I’m sure there are beautiful routes to get in your 4-6 miles!

Hi Jordan, I’m from Brazil and I follow and I love your blog.
Today when I saw that video of the writer Julio Cortázar talking about Paris I remembered you. http://youtu.be/JDfYG0BIsjA
Subtitles are in Spanish.
I hope you enjoy and excuse me for my English, I do not speak very well.

8 pounds is awesome and thanks for sharing your secrets as to how you’ve done it. I had a baby in February and just recently found myself at the gym, huffing and puffing on the treadmill after .75 miles. It is such a process.
