Happy Weekend

Our sofa finally arrived today so I’m going to spend the weekend laying on it with the windows open! It is navy and velvet and BEAUTIFUL! Its so great to see the details of the apartment finally come together. We are getting art up on the walls and pretty houseplants everywhere so the place is really starting to feel cozy. (I can’t wait to share the artwork thats going above the sofa.) It sort of surprised me how long it has taken to feel settled since we are pretty much starting from scratch. Have a Happy Weekend guys. I hope you have something fun planned.

ps: I also write for Here are my posts this week.

My favorite Rainbow Cakes all in one spot! (I think my favorite is the 28 layer.)

Did you see Fisher Price released all the toys we used to play with when were little?

My favorite new Etsy shop! And they are cheap.

Every Parisian kid has one of these. (We just got one for Moses.)

These are awesome and are now being distributed in the US!

All those Fischer Price toys! I had every one except the piano, which I think is the only one that kids will understand and recognize today…which is weird.

WOW! Devine! I’ve been thinking of a velvet louge for my new house perhaps in charcoal. Your pic has me reassured that I’m on the right track! 30 years ago they were fashionable here. In salmon no less! I think your navy or charchoal might be a bit more ‘nuetral’ and enduring though! Enjoy! KL

I grew up with a navy velvet sofa and it brought up many a happy memory seeing yours. It traveled with me to college and then finally gave out . . . although in retrospect it’s simple lines were great and I was remiss in not salvaging it by having it reworked. I miss it. Yours is beautiful — enjoy it!
