The past few months we’ve been doing a babysitting co-op with some friends who have children similar in age to Moses. It is every Saturday night from 4:30-7:30pm. One couple watches all the children while everyone goes out. It’s just enough time to catch a movie, or go to dinner and do a little shopping. We have three weeks to go out and then the fourth week it is our turn to watch the kids. It has been working out so great.
Last Saturday Paul and I went to Japantown for some dinner and then some shopping. Some of my favorite treats I came home with were this great book on Men’s Aprons, and these alligator paper clips. Japanese office supplies are the best.

That is such a great idea for parents. I am so glad people are having all these bright ideas and putting them into place before I become a mum!

My parents were a part of a babysitting co-op when I was growing up. I made many life-long friends through that group….it’s a wonderful thing to be a part of.

So cute!! Could you please provide more info on the alligator paper clips? I’d love to purchase some online or directly from the store if possible. ***My design studio is named Alligator Design + Communications so they would be perfect! 🙂 Please email me at lisa@designthatsnaps.com if you have additional info to provide. Thanks! 🙂

I love the idea of a babysitting co-op. I think I might like to put something like that together when my girls are a little older.

The babysitting co-op is brilliant. No, really, I mean it! Do the babysitting parents end up feeding the kids their dinner too or do the kids just stay up later on babysitting night and eat when they get home?
