I had a great response to the first class so I am taking registration for the next two classes. One will be on a weeknight and one will be on a Saturday.
Tuesday April 7th 6pm-10pm (deadline to submit card info: March 30)
and
Saturday April 11th 10am-2pm (deadline to submit card info: April 2)
{Update: Both classes are now full.}
Class Description
In this beginning class students will print their own business cards (or calling cards) and learn the basics* of printing with lead type and photopolymer plates on a proof press. This a great way to get your toes wet and get a feel for how letterpress works. Students will either choose a design from the options below or else submit their own design a week in advance. Everyone will go home with 250 one-color business cards printed on Craneβs white cotton paper.
Class Size: 8 Students
Cost: $125 (includes material fees)

How to register:
1. Send me an email to confirm you would like to take the class. ohhappydayblog@gmail.com After you receive confirmation I will bill you via paypal.
2. Once you have submitted payment then send me an email with your choice of design (see options right here) and the information you would like on the card. (We can’t change the design of the cards too much but the icons or logos can be switched out to one of your choosing.)
3. The deadlines to both sign up and submit your material for your cards is eight days before the class (March 30 or April 2 depending on which class you sign up for). There will be one round of revisions after your proof is sent to you.

What kind of press are you working with?
I work at a print shop, and in addition to our *prize-winning* presses we have an old Hiedelberg Windmill… I have always been fascinated by that thing! It’s like an old-fashion typewriter, there is soo much character there π
