Fond memories of sewing my wrap dress, and the doorbell went ding, dong as I stitched away.
I should have worn sneakers, but I wore ballet flats.

I adore that commercial when the boy/prom date tries to pin the corsage on the girl, sporting a bustier.

Maybe we should institute an adult prom.

It’s such a shame that my prom took place in the 80’s when hair was a complete disaster and we all thought big hair, Axl Rose and Guess Jeans were more important than oxygen. Can you imagine what my prom picture looked like? At least I chose to wear white, my only saving grace. The rest I wish I could forget.

So nice to see that you’re a Teen Vogue fan too. It’s my closet guilty pleasure!

thank you so much for your comment about sao paolo, jordan. sorry to have been confusing –leading-edge just means a woman who is cool, aware of trends, energetic, fun…basically, like you:)

but those are great dresses for prom–not skanky like so many. I’d give anything to do prom over again, since my own memory is of a disastrous prom at my date’s high school, not my own.
