I visited his site before, and I must say the paintings look almost tangible and real.

Wow. I just discovered your blog this week and when I saw this painting, I was definitely taken by surprise. When I first moved here in the fall of 2008, I picked up an open studios catalog and clipped and framed this image. I've always loved it–it has a very calming and strangely nostalgic effect.
