Michelle invited me to go with her to a “special preview” of the Martha Stewart collection at Macy’s even though its been out for months now. It was one of those things where you have to RSVP and it was early in the morning, before Macy’s opened. We knew it would be sort of hokey {it was basically a two hour infomercial} but there were promises of a “special gift” so we sat through it. In the end we got a very cool cake and cookie decorating demonstration so it made it all worth it. But there were a few products I hadn’t noticed before. The first are these really tall birthday candles 15″ tall! The second are these beautiful glasses. They are based off some Martha Stewart has. They are thin and feel really great in your hand, very beautiful in person. The whole Martha Stewart Collection is 25% off right now through Aug 26th.

i used those kind of candles in galvanized tin buckets filled with sand for my centerpieces at my wedding. i had a beach/seashell themed reception, and we had shells in the sand and on the tablecloth with my colors in small squares under the bucket. they were awesome!! having computer problems or i would have scanned and posted a picture.

I have to admit, I am pretty curious to see how her line is. I know that her stuff at Kmart is nice- I have some sheets from her line there.

Did they show the square cake stands? You did a post about them but when I went to my Macy’s to get them they did not have them and the person there said she did not think there was such an item. Plus, they aren’t on Macy’s website any longer…I wonder what the deal is.
