A lot of my magazine subscriptions run out this spring so I just placed a bunch of new orders. I did a mammoth post about buying magazines right here. {You’ve been warned, its huge.} There are a few magazines I keep intact {domino, lucky, martha stewart} I keep lots of sticky notes in these for reference. But the rest I tear out anything inspirational and throw it in a three ring binder. I haven’t cataloged my magazines for about 7 months. Its a weekend goal of mine to get caught up on that. I love me some glossies.

Hello. I just stumbled onto your blog (very pretty indeed). I do the same thing with magazines. The Martha Stewarts stay intact, but the rest get up. The articles, pretty pictures, and neat ideas go into a three-ring binder.

I have subscribed to Domino since you recommended it here and I have really enjoyed it. I love Cottage Living, but Country Living and Mary Engelbreit Home are my two favorite. I love how Mary Engelbreit visits artists studios each month. It is so fun to see the different enviroments that artists create for themselves.

I have been looking at your blog for awhile–found you through my friend Nicole’s “A Little Sussy” blog. I also do the same thing with my mags–love that you call them glossies. I have an inspiration book (binder) that I keep all of my inspirations/good ideas in! Of course, recipes go in a seperate place. I haven’t had to subscribe to a lot of magazines since I worked for an amazing Interior Designer here in NYC who already got them and didn’t care to look! But, now that I am venturing out I have to subscribe for myself. Real Simple is my mag of choice that stays on the shelf as is….

i wish i was better at tearing things out of magazines that I like. I have a huge stack by my bed right now that i know is a treasure trove but did i mark anything? no. Perhaps this weekend I should make a goal to get a three ring binder and just DO IT!
