On January 1 I got the following email from my friend Emily. I’ve just been thinking about how genius of an idea it is and I really wish I’d thought of it. I’m giving it to the internet gods so you all can steal the idea. {E, I hope you don’t mind.}

This year one of my resolutions is to have my friends identify something they’re really good at and then teach me that skill. I’d love for YOU to be one of the people who help ME improve this year (and of course, any skillz I gots are yours). It can be anything from the easy to the hard, from the shallow to the deep. Stuff that’s already been identified include:

** perfect frosting skills (cakes, cookies, cupcakes)
** throwing fabulous parties
** how to have difficult conversations etc etc.

seriously anything from being really good at making time for people, to being productive at work, to playing the nose harp and competitive badminton would be awesome to learn.
