I’m lucky in that I can listen to music most the day. I thought I’d share some of my recent favorites with you. The Weepies are a couple who record out of their house. Living the dream, no? Plus their music is very chill and happy. I especially like “Nobody Knows Me” and “Gotta Have You” off of “Say I Am You”. Rebecca Gholdston pointed me towards Antartica Takes It, a bunch of kids from Santa Cruz. I’m obsessed with their song “Circuits”. Dark Side of the Cop is a San Francisco duo. If you love the Postal Service (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t), You’ll LOVE them. If you’ve got a thing (or secretly think you MIGHT have a thing) for Japanese power pop, check out Asobi Seksu (who are only partially Japanese). The chord progression at the beginning of “Mizu Asobi” makes me want to learn to play guitar.
