The day we got back from NY we went and got a big 7′ tree. I like to get my tree up quick and as of December 26 get it out quick. We normally go to this place in Daly City that has cheap trees but while we were at Target we noticed their trees were pretty cheap too so we picked one of those. I put on my cd’s of old-time Christmas Music and drank mulled cider while we trimmed the tree and made our house look Christmasy.

I love the box for your Christmas tree. Is that a stand, or did you come up with such a cute idea. Where did you get it, or, how did you do it?

Hey Sarah H:
The box isn’t a clever trick. I have a wooden file box and I like the tree to be up high so all the presents can fit under it. I just put it in a regular tree stand and then put it on top of my file box. 🙂 Eventually I’ll put some pretty fabric to cover it up but I haven’t gotten around to that yet.

Thanks so much! You must have high ceilings. I might try that myself.
