My New Haircut

Things that annoy me about salons:
1. No matter how much I tell them to cut, they cut off three more inches.
2. They are product pushers.
3. When I ask for a few “long layers” they always go to town.
4. They always, without fail, blow-out my hair with a round brush so I look like Jennifer freaking Aniston from the late nineties. (think lots of layers all curled up around my face.)

I believe there is a hairdressers conspiracy. Because no matter the salon, they always do these four things. Its as if they have been brain washed in cosmetology school and then sent out among the masses to make everyone have short hair, buy expensive product, give everyone as many layers as possible and then to blow it out so it looks like Jennifer Aniston.

I go to a nicer salon about once a year and for trims I just go to Supercuts. Its true, they leave your hair wet at Supercuts but at least they don’t blow out my hair with a round brush.

Maybe you can bring back the “Aniston”! I’m currently working on Crystal Gail hair. Too bad I can’t give you some of mine.

I’ve never agreed more with someone’s blog post as I do with this. I always complain to my husband and he never quite understands. Now I know someone feels my pain. Thanks!!!

Try G-Squared on 6th. I go to Nikki there and she’s really amazing. A good colorist and great with thin/curly hair like mine.

As a matter of fact Jordan we as cosmetologists are brainwashed in school, none of the real people will come to a school to get their hair done(unless they are totally desperate) so we end up doing the shampoo set!! lol
You need to come up here and go to my girl!! she rocks!! I never look like a mom of 6 when I leave there!!

I remember you going to the hair school & your hair turning blond or burning or something. Poor thing.

I went to supercuts in utah the other day and i got a great cut. my theory is that not all the hairdressers in utah can get jobs at a great salon. i’m boycotting salons from now on. last time i got my hair cut at a salon i also had an aniston do. my hair was ratted so much that I could have stored things in it. yuck.
