In college we used to “gently” make fun of the girls who had a wedding notebook and had been planning their wedding from age 12. But when I got engaged I studied up on weddings like I was writing a graduate school thesis. I bought old issues of wedding magazines off ebay, read every website I could. I sort of wonder if I shouldn’t have just been keeping track all along, like the silly girls with wedding notebooks. Well, a year and a few months after the actual wedding I’m still obsessed. It’s nice to sort of work in the industry because I have an excuse to stay up to date. (At least that’s what I tell myself so I don’t feel pathetic.)

Anyway, April Reed Wedding Cakes are so rad. I first saw these on a sweet blog called Love Made Visable. I love how graphic and modern they are. I especially think the chocolate truffle one is ingenious.
