So in the last six months I’ve gotten into letterpress. I took a bunch of classes and recently started taking paying jobs. I LOVE it. Letterpress uses big old 1,000 pound machines to make deep impressions in really nice cotton paper. One of the reasons I like it so much is you have to do each one by hand and you have to use really high quality paper. The whole process is special and individualized. I’m looking to buy a proof press but until I do I rent press time from the Center for the Book. Here are pictures of me working on the press.
