Apple Gifts Packaging DIY

It’s hard to believe but the end of the school year is creeping up on us – or in some cases, it’s rushing up like a speeding freight train! Sometimes it’s nice to go a little above and beyond for someone special – this giant apple is a sweet way to package a little something for a favorite teacher. Fill it with homemade (or store-bought, if we’re being real) cookies, some fancy chocolates, or a gift card nestled in tissue or crinkly paper.

Materials needed: red 6” Ball Favor Container, red spray paint, ¼” thick twig or piece of tree branch, hot glue gun, green cardstock, scissors, pen or marker.

Step 1: Spray paint the clear half of a 6” red favor ball. Let dry.
Step 2: Cut a 1” piece of twig to mimic the shape of an apple stem. Hot glue to top of ball.
Step 3: Cut out a green leaf and write the recipient’s name on it. Gently fold a ½” sliver back, apply hot glue to the bottom of the tag, and attach onto the ball. Be sure to write the name on before you glue the tag on, as it will be trickier to do once it’s attached.
