Is it possible that summer is almost over? While we enjoy the dwindling long sunny days, it’s time to get ready for school! Get excited for fall by making these fun mini back to school notebooks for your kids or their friends. They are easy to assemble and would be a great addition to any back to school kit you put together to inspire a bit of academic creativity.

Materials: Printable Back to School Mini Notebooks, 8.5 x 11 colorful text weight paper, 8.5 x 11 grid (or plain white) paper, kraft knife, straight edge, cutting mat, stapler, bone folder (not pictured).

Step 1: Print out page 1 of the Printable Back to School Mini Notebooks template on 8.5 x 11 colorful paper.
Step 2: Print out page 2 on 8.5 x 11 grid or plain paper. Print multiple copies of page 2 depending on how many pages you want in each notebook.
Step 3: Score the notebook covers (center of page 1) with a bone folder & straight edge then cut out each cover using a kraft knife.
Step 4: Cut out the interior pages (page 2) following the printed guides. You will get 6 sheets.
Step 5: Take a stack of interior pages (I used 3) and center on the inside of a notebook cover.
Step 6: Use a stapler to secure the pages along the scored center line (2 staples should do) and then fold the notebook in half.
