Today I’m showing how I would style this Folding Bookcase three ways. This little bookcase is simple and modern so it can work in any room. I tried it in the kitchen, my bedroom, and the kids room and it looked great everywhere. I really like the Room Essentials line because the pieces are beautiful, really versatile and have excellent price points. When I’m styling a space I think about how it’s going to function and then put it together with art and objects that I love. Plants, Art and Lighting make the biggest difference! How do you style your home?

I laughed so much when I saw this post! Just yesterday I bought this bookcase AND the lamp in the second photograph for my college room. I haven’t opened it yet but I already have so many ideas, thanks to these lovely photographs.

I too love the coat rack. Unfortunately, it’s pricey! It’s sold out at Fab.com (http://fab.com/product/it-s-beautful-here-coat-rack-444119?lg=1), the cheapest place I saw it online, and everywhere else it’s over $500!
Gorgeous piece of design, though.
I have a growing baby so my favorite of the three versions of the bookshelf is #3 and not just because of the coat rack!

This looks super handy! But does the bookshelf really fold down flat? I clicked through to the link on target.com and it doesn’t show any images of the folding action or the shelf when it’s folded, and I don’t see any hinges on the frame, so I’m not sure how it would fold. I’m thinking this could be really handy for my business, doing pop-up shops and markets, if it really does fold down flat! Would love to know – thanks!
Yes, it does! The shelves fold up and the sides turn inward.

What an inspiring post, Jordan!
It’s nice to see how a simple bokocase like that one can be versatile and function for different purposes in different rooms. It looks great the three ways but I have to say I love how you styled it in the living room even more, maybe because of the decorative pieces are just my style!
I’ve just found your blog and I’m loving the content so I’ll be following to keep updated.

Beautiful styling and great post! Lover the kids room and kichen especially. Not sure if this is the right thing to do here and sorry if its inapproprioate,! But I stock the Heath Nash It’s beautiful Here coat rack at my shop, Vamp in Cape Town and can ship anywhere – I can see many people are asking after them. They are R1400 each (About 130 US Dollars) excluding shipping 🙂
What would Martha do?

I wish Target Australia had gorgeous products like this! Or that we could ship from American Target. I love the combinations you’ve made up, especially the wire baskets! They’re so cute 🙂

I like the way that pantry bookshelf looks but it would never work in my kitchen because I have WAY more stuff than that – in fact I’m sure most people do! If only.
