Flower Party Blowers

Here is a fun and easy little DIY project you could do for a birthday party to make the party blowers a little sweeter. It is super easy and can be done in about 30 minutes. These would work great for a little girls’ birthday party and look great displayed in a vase like flowers. Find the full instructions and photos right here.

Click through for full instructions.

Materials Needed: Crepe Paper, Long Party Blowers, Party Blowers with white plastic mouth pieces, scissors, tacky glue.

Step 1: Make the Petals. Fold a strip of crepe paper into a stack and cut several petals at the same time. Make sure the grain is going from top to bottom so you can stretch it. Taking a few petals at a time stretch them out using two thumbs so they curve and look like a petal.
Step 2: Glue the petals around the neck of the blower.
Step 3: Make the Leaves. Fold a strip of crepe paper (probably green) and cut fringe on one side.
Step 4: Unroll the strip and then glue it, starting at the neck with the fringe going up. Wrap it around the cardboard until it is covered.
Step 5: Take the blower with the white plastic piece and remove the paper. Add the white piece to the end of the flower blower. Et voila, you’re done!

This is so pretty, I’m doing a Mexican themed christmas this year and I think these will be perfect. My crepe paper buying is about to go up 300%. Do you have any cool ideas for decoration?
I live in Australia so I can have lots of outdoor based things.

Thanks so much, love the blog; keeps me inspired.
