Yes, I bought it. I have no idea where I’m going to wear it to. It will probably just sit in my closet until someone invites me to an English wedding.
ps: It is a pretty amazing hat though, isn’t it?

Sweet! Just wear it whenever! I have a black cocktail hat I’ve taken to wearing a lot. It looks best when I’m dressed casually, but tailored, like jeans, nice flats and a cute top.

Just gorgeous. I would’ve bought it, too! And have made similar probably-will-never-wear-this-ever-but-must-have-it purchases.

Wow, so fabulous!
Heck, just wear it with some jeans! I have a pink flowered half hat, and I prance around in it in my nightgown! 😛

Ah, but you live in San Francisco. Wear it to the store, the park, out to eat! No one will mind.

Love it! Let’s start a hat revolution. Be brave, be Heather Bailey-ish. Wear it with jeans!

I DO love that hat. You chould throw a garden party… just to have an event to wear it:)
I found some great hats from the 40’s I think in my mother-in-law’s basement… still in the original hat boxes! I am going to post them soon. http://www.mrsmollyjones.blogspot.com

I adore it, it is fabulous. I was just remarking how I must wear more flowers in my hair…like my current girl crush Zooey Deschanel, who wears hair flowers all the time – so lovely!

I had no idea you had a blog with such cool posts! (And not just saying that because of the hat purchase I am going to have to blog roll this one!
I hope the fascinator finds you well! Thanks so much!
I agree with everyone – just wear it whenever with jeans and a cute top. It fancies everything up just a tad.

That is fabulous – wear it to church and knock the socks off everyone That’s what I would do!
August 16, 200811:47 pm
You CAN wear it and you will! I wear british hat/hair things all the time:) If I’m on my bike I put it in a box in my basket, then wear it when I arrive at my destination. The only problem is when I forget I have stuff on my head and bang it into door frames and such.
