Here’s a fun little DIY to try for National Donut Day on June 2: top off a celebratory cake with a bouquet of mini donuts! Bring it to work and surprise your coworkers, pull it out for your kids at the end of a long day, or better yet – throw a whole donut party (get ideas here!) Cake + donuts might sound over-the-top, but trust us – it will put a smile on anyone’s face.
For this DIY, start with mini glazed donuts (we got ours from Krispy Kreme!) You can decorate them with your own colorful frosting, or just leave them plain. Then, gently push wooden skewers up through the donuts, and add them to the top of the cake. Voila! Easiest cake topper ever!

What an adorable idea! It adds so much to the cake! I’ll definitely be trying this out for my daughter’s birthday next month. Thank you so much!
