I always seem to head into Fall dragging my feet so this year I decided to get excited for apple picking and sweater weather. I even spruced up my house with some plaid details from Target. This reading nook in my bedroom is my favorite place to cuddle up with my kids and read in the mornings, but we always spend less time there in the colder months.

I stocked it up with some warm throws and plaid blankets and pillows from Target so that when the cold months hit we’ll still be cozy. I love the idea of breaking the rules and treating the plaids like neutrals and mixing and matching. It adds some layers and depth to the room that it was missing before. Now we’ll be ready to read on those chilly mornings.
