We made it! We’ve been settling into our apartment in Montemarte this week and have started exploring the neighborhood. My first impressions this time around: It’s cold, everything is charming, and banana nutella crepes are so good. This week we’ve been doing boring things like getting bank accounts, cell phones, and metro passes. We even started looking for apartments. We have a few good leads so I’m feeling hopeful. Once that is off our plate I’ll feel like I can enjoy everything more. Have a happy weekend! I’ll be back next week with more reports. A special thanks to all my guest bloggers! (ps: Babble links below.)
I also write for Babble.com. Here are my posts this week.
New bedding from West Elm! (Stripes!)
Sale at Olive Juice (My favorite Kids Store.)
The raddest Etsy find this week. (And so cheap!)
My favorite shoes for crawlers are on super sale.

Ooooooo! So exciting. My husband and I rented a flat for a week on Montmartre, just below Sacre Coeur. It made for a breathtaking night light out our window! Even if you don't end up renting there, make sure you take it all in. It was lovely.

GREAT! Glad you made it safe and sound. Montematre is so Parisian (well what we Americans like to picture it as). Not really a family area. I hope you settle in and find an appartment soon. Most Americans settle in the 7eme or 6eme. We chose the 3eme (Le Marais) it's more Bohemian.

I love the photo. Bienvenue! How wonderful it is to move at the same time as your sister. I was lucky enough to move to Paris at the same time as my best friend by total coincidence. It made exploring the city so much fun in the beginning. Now I have kids and I get to do it with them too.
