We have been married for almost five years now and we woke up one morning last week and realized we were running low on our everyday glasses. So I’ve been on the hunt for new ones. These chic Marta glasses from CB2 have gotten rave reviews in Domino and GQ and appear to be a knock off of these designer tumblers but for a fraction of the price, only $2 a pop. They are thin and may be apt to break easier but since they are so affordable durability isn’t a big issue for me.

If you get these, Jordan, I've love to hear your thoughts!

I have 18 of each size shown and LOVE them! I've never had one break in hand or dishwasher. Beverages of all kind look great in them. I'd been coveting them for a few years and finally broke down and bought some this summer.

we don't have these but some that are quite similar; maybe my family is clumsier than most but we've broken nearly all of them. and these look even thinner than the ones we have!
it's fine if you don't have to worry about replacing them, but i've hated having little glass shards all around with my little children running around bare foot most of the time. i just always worry that there might be one i missed when i was cleaning up.
anyway, that's just my two cents, but they are very beautiful, and good luck in all your tumbler-buying endeavors!

I was happy to read this post b/c I always seem to be buying glasses and it's always a challenge finding ones that are just right. We only let our children use glassware (no plastic toxicity here!) so we go through a fair amount of glasses. I am glad someone shares in my glassware craze. BTW, I always seem to find just what I need at HomeSense (Canadian version of HomeGoods, I believe). Thanks for the chuckle — the sisterhood of looking for the perfect tumbler!

I love mine. I have 12 of them in the 18 oz. I haven't broke any of them. They are perfect for good hydrators and smoothie drinkers.

I've had these glasses for years (they actually used to sell them at Crate & Barrel, pre-CB2). They are great, affordable everyday glasses, but they do break easily. No joke, I broke one this morning. It's not they the glass is particularly fragile, but they're so lightweight when they are empty that it's really easy to knock them over on the floor.

I have these glasses and love them, but they do break easily. In fact, my husband broke one last night while doing the dishes. I agree with jomama; while they are inexpensive to replace, I'm nervous about the glass shards around the children. For durability (and good looks) I am sold on the Duralex Picardie glasses from Cost Plus.

I have had those glasses for about two years now. We've never broken one (that includes a two-year-old boy who uses a small one to drink), and their proportions make them tough to knock over accidentally. Highly recommend.

Have 'em, love 'em, drinks taste better in 'em. In particular, Diet Cherry 7-Up with Antioxidents – it's a lovely shade of pink!

i own many of these from CB2 and love them. i was worried of the same exact thing but not one broken one yet. I have large thick ikea ones that for some reason i manage to break! you will love and i love how they make the sipping taste much better-perhaps the thinness!

I received these for a b-day gift last June and by that Dec. all 36 of them had been broken. Mostly by my husband. We switched to the Sienna tumblers from Williams Sonoma last Dec and have yet to break one.

We have these too and they are surprisingly durable!

These are great. We've had ours for a year and a half and have only broken one. Huge feat considering we are clumsy and ALSO love to drink cocktails out of them. Not a good combo!

We have these in a few sizes and I love them! My husband was nervous that they would all break but they seem remarkably sturdy to us.
I say go for it!

I love them. They remind me of these that I have

they come in three different sizes and the smallest ones I use for juice and wine.

I have them too and I've never had one break. I get a silly thrill at being able to see clearly through the bottom of the glass while drinking from them. I can't explain it.

How did I go through life without hearing about these glasses? Will need to pick some up right away.

I'm wary of thin glasses ever since a triangular piece broke out of one while I was washing it and I needed four stitches and had some sensory/nerve issues. I'm all for thin glasses, but I watch out for quality. Love some of my vintage ones which are higher quality. Others I wouldn't put my hand inside to wash. I'm particularly wary of some of the mass-produced thin glasses on the market right now.

Most fragile glasses ever. I bought 8 glasses 5 years ago, and only 2 remain. These glasses are way too delicate for convenient everyday use. And less people think we're really rough with our dishes (we're not) — all 8 IKEA glasses we bought around the same time are still intact.

ooh we have these and they are the BEST. Really really thin but super robust ours have survived 10 year old boys, the dishwasher, the occasional knock…. They must be the perfect glass.
