Have you ever had a fishing party? Even if you weren’t planning on it, these fish printables are perfect for any modern black & white summer gathering. You can make straw toppers, gift tags, place cards, and garlands all with these simple paper fish. Add in colored plates, napkins, and other fun decor to give this modern nautical party a pop!

Materials: Printable Fishing Party Template, 8.5 x 11 card stock, scissors, craft knife, glue, markers, Japanese hole punch or regular hole punch, straws, string

Step 1: Print out the Printable Fishing Party Template on 8.5 x 11 card stock.
Step 2: Cut out the the fish and the fins.
Step 3: Slice each fish in the center along the indicated line. This is where the fin fits in.
Step 4: To make a straw holder, use the hole punch or Japanese hole punch to make a hole as indicated in the photo. Which hole punch you choose to use will depend on the width of the straw. If you need to, make the hole a bit bigger using a craft knife so that it snuggly fits over the straw.
Step 5: Feed the fin through the slot on the fish. Bend down the fin. Place straw through the hole.
Step 6: To make a place card follow steps 1 through 3 then fit the fin through the slot.
Step 7. Bend both the fin & tab downwards. The fish will lean back on the back tab to make a standing place card.
Step 8: To make a tag, follow steps 1 through 3 then punch a hole near the top of the fish to tie on the string.
Step 9: Feed the fin through the slot cut earlier. Bend down the back tab and glue to fish. Now write a cute message on the back of the card.
Step 10: Get creative… what else can you make? Nothing too fishy I hope!
